We look forward to (name of university)’s continuing involvement with you at (name of public school). Attached for you is an abbreviated version of the course syllabus. Also, I am enclosing a sample of the evaluation sheet that we will solicit from you in early March and again at the end of April.
You should know that we view this as a “flexible” experience for our students. In the past, our students have engaged in a wide variety of activities that have enabled them to reflect on the process of language learning and teaching as well as on their own personal language learning experiences. Some have tutored at-risk students or those who need some extra help. They have worked one-on-one or in small groups. Others have assisted in providing extra conversation practice or other reinforcement activities to small groups of students. Others have observed and worked along side the cooperating teacher assisting as needed. A number have taught mini lessons or even entire class periods, depending on their abilities and on the arrangements made with their cooperating teachers.
