Conference Venue


All activities of the 2012 Second Language Research Forum will be held at the University Center on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University.  The University Center is the center of activity on the Carnegie Mellon campus. The University Center also contains a FedEx/Kinko's, PNC Bank branch, Citizen's bank ATM, a convenience store, a cafe, and a food court.  For more information about the University Center, please click here.

The University Center is also within walking distance of the University of Pittsburgh, as well as Pittsburgh's Oakland and Shadyside neighborhoods, which offer a variety of dining and shopping options.


Visitor parking is available immediately adjacent to the University Center in the East Campus Garage. For parking rates, please click here. The East Campus Garage is P6 on the campus map.

All presentations will take place on the first or second floor of the building. Plenaries will be held in the McConomy Auditorium on the first floor, and the conference reception (Thursday, October 18) and banquet (Friday October 19) will take place in the Rangos Ballroom on the second floor.
