The Pittsburgh
Amtrak station is located in Pittsburgh's downtown, which is
approximately 4 miles from the conference site (Carnegie Mellon
University) and the conference hotels in
Pittsburgh's Oakland and Shadyside neighborhoods. Two Amtrak
passenger routes service Pittsburgh daily: the Capitol Limited
(Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Chicago) and the Pennsylvanian
(Pittsburgh to New York City). From the Amtrak station, you can take
a taxi or a city
bus to the conference site and hotels in Pittsburgh's Oakland
neighborhood.
By Bus
Pittsburgh's Greyhound
Bus terminal is located across the street from the Amtrak
station in downtown. Pittsburgh is also a hub for Megabus.
Getting Around
Pittsburgh Port
Authority's extensive bus system connects the conference site
and nearby hotels with the rest of the greater Pittsburgh area. Getting from your hotel to the conference
We will be providing dedicated shuttle buses for SLRF attendees.
The buses will go between the conference hotels and the conference
venue (the University Center on the campus of Carnegie Mellon
University), and will run Thursday evening, Friday morning, Friday
evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning.
