Study Abroad in France

Students choosing to study abroad have the opportunity to do more than practice their language skills, they also learn more about the culture, values, and traditions of the countries and regions that they visit. It is an invaluable period in a person's life, and we strongly recommend that all students, whether language specialists or not, take advantage of the programs offered around the world.

French & Francophone Studies Majors and Minors
For the majors and minors in French, studying abroad can earn them up to five courses per semester toward completion of their degree requirements, if properly advised during their pre-abroad years. Students who study abroad in the summer normally take two courses.

Advising
It is important that advising be done prior to departure to insure the most effective use of a student's time abroad. We encourage students to see their advisors in their primary departments, and the study abroad/transfer credit advisor, Professor Michael West.
