Macintosh	Power PC 604e processor or better 64 MB RAM Mac OS 8.1 or better 20 MB of free hard disk space to install the required software. Microphone / Headphones / Speakers	Netscape Navagator / Communicator 4.0 or better Mulberry or any mail client with MIME support such as Eudora Lite Microsoft Word 98 for Macintosh Qualcomm Purevoice Quicktime 4.0
PC with Windows	Pentium 133 Mhz processor or better Windows 95/98/NT4 or better 64 MB RAM 20 MB of free hard disk space to install the required software. Soundcard with Microphone / headphones / speakers	Netscape Navagator / Communicator 4.0 or better Mulberry, or any mail client w/ MIME support such as Eudora Lite Microsoft Word 97 Qualcomm Purevoice Quicktime 4.0
Note: If your computer is missing some of the above components, you may also be able to participate. However, your compatibility with the course material is not guaranteed. If you do not have some of the software required, you may follow the links to download them. Software like Microsoft Word is available through CMU Computer Store at the educational price. Additionally, all computers in the Modern Language Resource Center are prepared to support Online courses.
