| xxxWelcome to the Spanish Online page. You will be using this course to achieve the same goals as you would in other Carnegie-Mellon Spanish classes that are not supported by technology. In other words, you will be working towards the acquisition of a basic knowledge of Spanish on several different levels. In this Online course, you will increase your Spanish language skills, in terms of speaking, writing, reading and listening. The exercises, explanations, and activities in this course are designed to increase your proficiency in those four levels, such that you will be able to interact in the Spanish speaking world. In addition to concentrating on the acquisition of language skills, we will also culturally introduce you to the vastly diverse Spanish speaking world. Through brief literary selections, short essays on art, daily life, music, sports, as well as many other topics, you will gain insight into life and culture in Spain, Latin America, as well as Spanish speaking communities in the United States. |
